The assessment
The Activity’s instructions:
  • The teacher will talk about the problem of “Land Reclamation” (the teacher can describe the concept of Arabic if they misunderstand, or ask them to look for the meaning in dictionaries)

  • The teacher will divide the students by colors and then distribute them to six groups.

  • Each group will focus on a thinking hat.

  • The teacher will have the hats ready on the groups with their description.

  • The teacher will ask them to discuss the issue depends on their hat thinking way (eg: the red hat think emotionally about problems)

  • The teacher will provide a worksheet with some questions that they need to answer while they are thinking.

  • After they write down their ideas, they can start thinking about how to design a model that represent their ideas

  • The teacher will provide some materials, such as glue, scissors, chart papers, and others.

  • After they finish their models, the teacher will ask the groups to go to a group at a time, after she claps her and, the students can move to another group. While that, the teacher is walking around and assessing the students on different aspects can be seen in the rubric.

  • At the end, the students can display their models at the back of the class.

  • The teacher should give some feedback in the next day on the group work.
